Owariya – Asakusa

4.3 out of 5.0 stars

Went to Asakusa for a meeting.

For lunch, we went to Owariya, which is popular for its tempura bowls. After a 10-minute wait, we got in.
The interior has an old-town atmosphere typical of Tokyo’s shitamachi, which I think visitors from overseas would also enjoy.

The tempura bowl was excellent. As you can see in the photo, it comes with two large shrimp.
Next time I visit, I want to try the soba as well.
